HGH India 2018, 7th annual edition of the trade show for Home Textiles, Home Décor, Houseware, and Gifts received an overwhelming response from the trade visitors and the industry. 34,960 trade visitors, primarily retailers, distributors and institutional buyers from 480 cities and towns across India attended this trade show to find innovations, source home products for their business and discover upcoming home fashion trends for 2018-19. This latest edition of HGH India witnessed 14% rise in the number of visitors over last year. Over 600 brands and manufacturers from 30 countries unveiled their innovations and new collections at HGH India 201 8, either directly or through their Indian partners.

Researchers of University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa based in the Advanced Studies in Genomics, Proteomics and Bioinformatics (ASGPB) were part of a Bangladesh-led effort that sequenced and analyzed the genomes of two species of jute, a fiber crop primarily grown in India and Bangladesh.

As major markets like the US are showing positive signs, apparel exports of Bangladesh have been on the rise, but they need to grow by 10 percent every month in order to achieve their target of $27 billion in the current fiscal year, said Shahidullah Azim, vice-president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, the garment makers' platform.

As major markets like the US are showing positive signs, apparel exports of Bangladesh have been on the rise, but they need to grow by 10 percent every month in order to achieve their target of $27 billion in the current fiscal year, said Shahidullah Azim, vice-president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, the garment makers' platform.

Garment exports to non-traditional markets have growth by 7 percent year-on-year in the July-March period.
