Japan`s ethylene output rose 19% in October compared with a year earlier, to 631,400 metric tons, as petrochemical producers boosted operating rates to meet recovering demand from China, according to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

This was 0.3% lower on month, METI said Tuesday.
